Our commitment as a responsible employer to the well-being of our employees
We are committed to promoting Corporate Social Responsibility as part of our activity. For us, being a responsible employer means above all ensuring the well-being and professional fulfillment of our employees, with kindness and the promotion of diversity. But it also means contributing to inclusion and integration outside the company, through our involvement in associations and the engagement of our employees.
The development of diversity is a major focus of our commitment. Indeed, diversity is a strength for our company, which is why Societe Generale Assurances is particularly attached to the principle of non-discrimination.
Our employees were invited to share their views on the actions taken by the company in the areas of diversity and inclusion. These responses, which highlight their interest in this topic, have provided a solid foundation on which we have relied to continue our efforts and strengthen our actions in favour of diversity and inclusion, notably through company agreements.
Whether you join us for a few months, a few years, or your entire career, together we have the means to make a positive impact on the future.
Remote work is now widely adopted at Societe Generale Assurances, with a flexible setup that supports a healthy work–life balance. With the last agreement signed in 2024, the remote work rhythm can vary between 1 to 3 days per week, with a standard rhythm set at 2 days per week. The company supports the implementation of remote work notably through the payment of an allowance of €3.10 per remote work day and the provision of meal vouchers on remote work days.
The professional equality index at Societe Generale Assurances rose from 78/100 in 2018 to 93/100 at the end of 2025, reflecting our commitment to promoting gender equality in the workplace.
An agreement was signed at the end of 2020, reaffirming the strict application of the principle of non-discrimination in terms of recruitment, mobility, qualification, remuneration, promotion, career development, training, and working conditions, as well as our commitments through concrete actions:
- Training for employees involved in recruitment processes;
- Annual salary reviews with the allocation of a dedicated budget to address any pay gaps for equivalent positions;
- Actions to support work-life balance and parenthood, to make daily life easier for young parents (child welcome programme, development of a dedicated intranet space, etc.) and for women expecting a child (enhanced remote work options, systematic fixed salary increase upon return from maternity or adoption leave, etc.).
Societe Generale Assurances strengthens its commitment to the inclusion of people with disabilities by initiating an inclusive and proactive policy, consolidating existing best practices within the company, and committing to new concrete actions:
- Development of the recruitment of people with disabilities through the implementation of dedicated sourcing actions;
- Preparation for integration through discussions with the HR contact and support for managers welcoming a person with a disability into their team;
- Support throughout the employee’s journey within the company, notably through coverage of the optional health insurance (including for employees with a dependent child with a disability), measures and accommodations to maintain employment;
- Training and awareness for our managers and HR team to be as close as possible to our employees with disabilities, as well as for all employees to combat prejudices and misconceptions about disability.
We are committed, together with our employees, through concrete actions for a more inclusive world and responsible behaviours. Our partnerships with associations working for inclusion and professional integration, as well as welcoming young people into our offices, are just a few examples of our commitment.
We offer our employees the opportunity to get involved with partner associations during their working hours, up to 3 days per year taken from working time, and up to 6 days starting at age 55.
We respect the principles of the LGBT+ Commitment Charter (signed in October 2024), by promoting an inclusive, safe, and respectful work environment for everyone’s identities and orientations.
To reduce our environmental impact and promote responsible behaviours among our employees, many initiatives have also been implemented. Find some examples of our actions here!
Societe Generale Assurances is firmly committed to providing each of its employees with a respectful work environment that fosters everyone’s development. For several years now, actions have been implemented to prevent and combat inappropriate behaviour in the workplace:
- Implementation of mechanisms for the prevention, handling, and rapid resolution of alerts, with a dedicated alert tool and identified contacts;
- Empowering all employees through regular training and awareness initiatives;
- Attention paid by the company to ensuring secure and balanced working relationships.
