Pathways for young graduates

We pay particular attention to the integration of young graduates into working life. That’s why each year we support many junior employees in discovering the corporate world and developing professional skills. Our student training policy favors work-study contracts, to allow long-term support (12 to 24-month contracts). However, a few internships are offered, mainly pre-work-study internships.

Whether directly following a work-study contract, an internship, or through external recruitment, we also integrate young graduates on permanent contracts. Around ten VIEs (International Corporate Volunteers) have the opportunity each year to discover our international operations by joining one of our subsidiaries/branches.

Young graduates on permanent contracts

Apprentices

  • Work-study contracts of 12 to 24 months in positions that allow real skill development;
  • Apprentices are integrated into their teams as full-fledged employees. They participate in team meetings, are given responsibilities on motivating projects, and may be asked to present their work to members of Management: a great way to prepare calmly for future professional life;
  • Additional rest days (RTT) and access to Social and Economic Committee (CSE) benefits.

Interns

  • End-of-study internships are offered for a duration of 6 months in various fields (Digital Transformation, Data, Marketing...), as well as 3-month pre-apprenticeship internships in Actuarial activities;
  • Being an intern at Société Générale Assurances means applying theoretical knowledge and learning from a supervisor while being immersed in a team with enriching activities. It is also a privileged moment to discover the corporate world;
  • Completing an internship within our company can be a stepping stone to a work-study contract or even a permanent contract for end-of-study internships.

International Corporate Volunteer Programme (V.I.E)

  • International Corporate Volunteer assignments of 12 to 24 months are offered in various fields (Actuarial, Finance, IT, Marketing, HR…), within one of our 6 subsidiaries/branches;
  • Given the size of our international entities, it is an opportunity to develop a comprehensive understanding of how a company operates;
  • Autonomy, responsibilities, and full integration into the team;
  • Immediate contact with the V.I.E community from other entities of the Societe Generale Group.
